October Day

While living in Iceland I would often drive (as many had before me) from my home in the North, Akureyri, to the south Reykjavik. Every time I got into the car and made the drive, all I really wanted to do was be at the destination, Reykjavik that is. I never liked the drive between, and if you ask near any Icelander what they think, they will tell you the same. The mundane of the everyday gets lost, driving from A to B is certainly part of that mundane. On one of my trips in my forth year living in Iceland everyone in the car except me (being the driver) fell asleep. As soon as they did I had nothing else to do at the time other then notice, notice it all, the whole ride and I started to see things I had never seen before on the same trip I had made so many times. I occurred to me to remove the mundane by filming the drive, all 4-5 hours of it in real time. In addition it would be seen from four angles front two sides and back.
